I'm always thrilled when I'm out walking in the fields and am lucky enough to see a hare. I have hand painted a charismatic little brown hare onto this beautiful semi precious agate stone slice. I use gouache paint and teeny tiny brushes to enable me to capture minute details. I use the patterns and colours of the agate to provide an unusual background to my paintings. This agate piece has some beautiful almost misty patterns in it and made a lovely backdrop for this painting.
I have coated it in a tough resin to enhance the lovely colours and to give long lasting protection to the painting.
These unique little pieces of art make lovely gifts and sit nicely on any bookshelf.
The size is 5.5 cm x 7 cm, and it comes in a sweet little gift box complete with a display stand and certificate of authenticity signed by me.
