Fox Painting on Agate, fox present, fox gift

Shh! Don't wake him, its been a busy night! I have hand painted a snoozy little red fox onto this beautiful semi precious agate stone slice. I use gouache paint and teeny tiny brushes to enable me to capture minute details, paintings this small take me a long time and a very steady hand to paint. I use the patterns and colours of the agate to provide an unusual background to my paintings, and I try my absolute best to capture the spirit of the animals that I paint, and lets face it, foxes have plenty of character!
I have coated it in a tough resin to enhance the lovely colours and to give long lasting protection to the painting.
These unique little pieces of art make lovely gifts and sit nicely on any bookshelf.
The size is 6.5 cm x 5 cm, and it comes in a sweet little gift box complete with a display stand and certificate of authenticity signed by me.
