Hand Painted Lion Blackthorn Wood Pendant

I have hand drawn a proud lion onto this beautiful blackthorn (sloe) wood pendant. The wood came from a hedge being cut in a local works yard, and was dried naturally for 3 years before being lovingly crafted into a beautiful pendant. I used a pyrography pen to burn the lion into the wood then acrylic paint and tiny brushes to add highlights and little touches of colour. I did my best to capture the spirit of the lion in my painting.
I have coated it in an acrylic resin to give long lasting protection to the painting.

The size is 4 cm x 3.5 cm, and is 3mm thick. and is hung on a length of cotton cord that measures 62 cm. The cord is adjustable so you can easily make it shorter once it has been put on over your head. It comes in a gift bag complete with a certificate of authenticity signed by me.

This pendant has bark still attached to it so is not suitable for posting to countries with restrictions (Australia & New Zealand)
