Hare Hand Drawn Yew Wood Pendant

I have hand drawn a cheeky brown hare onto this beautiful slice of natural Yew wood.
The wood came from a neighbours hedge when it was trimmed back and was left to dry naturally on racks in my garage for 3 years. The wood has then been lovingly sliced and sanded to create a beautifully natural pendant. I used a pyrography pen to burn the hare drawing into the wood, then I used tiny brushes to add little highlights and touches of colour. I try to capture the spirit of all the animals that I paint and draw, and I feel this little fella has bags of character!
I have coated the finished pendant in an acrylic varnish to give long lasting protection.
The pendant size is 4 cm x 2 cm, and 8mm thick, and is hung on a length of cotton cord that measures 62 cm. The cord is adjustable so you can easily make it shorter once it has been put on over your head. It comes in a gift bag complete with a certificate of authenticity signed by me.

This pendant has bark still attached to it so is not suitable for posting to countries with restrictions (Australia & New Zealand)
