Manatee Hand painted onto Agate Slice

I have hand painted a gentle manatee onto this gorgeous semi precious agate stone slice. I use gouache paint and tiny brushes to enable me to capture minute details. I use the natural patterns and colours of the agate to provide an unusual background to my paintings. I felt this piece of agate looked like being underwater so a Manatee was what came to mind. I try my best to capture the spirit of the animals that I paint, and these sure do have beautiful spirit!
I have coated the finished piece in a tough resin to bring out the beauty of the colours and to give long lasting protection to the painting.

The size is 10.5 cm x 7.5 cm, and it comes gift boxed complete with a display stand and certificate of authenticity signed by me.
