Merlin Painting on Agate

Possibly a magical painting? Merlin - magician, kingmaker and prophet from legends of the British Isles hand painted in tiny detail on to a beautiful piece of agate. I choose my pieces of agate intuitively, this piece spoke to me of myth and magic and so Merlin came to mind. I used gouache paint and the smallest of brushes to capture all the details in the artwork. The finished piece has then been coated in a tough resin to enhance all the gorgeous colours and provide long lasting protection to the painting.

The agate slice measures 9 cm x 8.5 cm and displays nicely on a shelf, making a unique and special gift for a loved one.

It comes in a gift box with a display stand and a certificate of authenticity signed by me.
